The Celebrity tomatoes are ripe! Well at least the first one was ripe this week and there are more delicious tomatoes to come. There is a victorious feeling since these plants have survived (at least for the time being) hail, drought, blazing heat and disease!!! 8-)) Continue

A friend reminded me that the African Violet group will be having a show this Saturday. May 2, from 10:00-4:00 at Polo Park Retirement Center. It will be a beautiful selection and they make the raising of African Violets seem very easy. The show is free and there will be lots of information. Continue

The 31st West Texas Iris Show was a wonderful colorful event! Thanks to all who brought their iris and for everyone who attended and enjoyed the colorful flowers and designs. I was glad to win a few blue ribbons and share the day with fellow flower lovers. We hope to post a few photos of the show. We also hope everyone adds a few iris to their garden so they can enjoy these wonderful flowers. WTIS plans to have a rhizome sale August 22nd at Mannings Garden Center. Continue

W.T.I.S. Annual Iris Show will be Saturday, April 18th at the Golf Course Road Church of Christ, 3500 W. Golf Course Road, Midland, TX The show is open to all iris entries from everyone. Entries are open 7:00-10:30, judging from 11:00-12:00 noon. Viewing, open to the public, is 12:30-4:30. There are also design categories which you can find info at www.westtexasiris.com.
