My Lawn

I have been working extra hard lately to get my lawn into shape. Since I haven't had a yard in so long (been living in apartments), I have learned a few things about myself through taking care of the yard.

1. I noticed that it is a real chance to relax. I know this sounds strange, but I use my brain all day long at my job and do very little physical activity. In my yard, I can start a job (watering, weed pulling, mowing) and I don't have to think critically about it.

How do I make my Lawn Greener?

I am interested in knowing how to make my lawn greener without using a whole bunch of harsh chemicals. Is the fertilizer that you put on using the spreader better than the the stuff you hook up to the hose and spray on?

Help!

Has been a while since I came by. I am so glad to see everything starting to turn green and all the spring flowers breaking ground. I have one dead tree that needs to come out and be replaced. We planted two globe willows a few years ago. One took off and the other hung on until this winter. I just couldn't bring myself to give up on it as long as it struggled to survive. I went to college at West Texas State (1966 name). Spent alot of time in the Panhandle of Texas. Very good memories of ATO parties in Amarillo!
